Introduction

I'm a karaoke nut - nothing else makes a party like karaoke! I've never seen live band karaoke but I know I'll love it even more. I look forward to the first event I can make it out to.

If you could start a cover band, who would it be?

Some combination of Black Eyed Peas and Bob Marley and the Wailers. I like all types of music, though.

Do you play an instrument?

Keyboards. I played in a couple of Reggae bands and we played clubs and hotels and private parties throughout Hampton Roads in VA in the early 90s when I was in college. I haven't played seriously in a while. I'm an ear player who reads music slow.

How long have you been singing?

I started singing in choirs when I was 4 years old between church and school. That built up a level of courage to perform in front of crowds and helped to sharpen my musical ear and voice control. I played piano and directed a church choir at 23.
